What is a Darjeeling Tea?
Darjeeling tea is a high grown Indian black tea originating from “Darjeeling”, a geographic location in North-East India. It is a tea with unique flavours that cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world.
The most sought after Darjeeling teas are Second Flush. These are very attractive teas with a purplish bloom and a sprinkling of silvery tips, and fetch the highest auction prices of any flush. The rich and aromatic liquors may show the prized muscatel flavour and are full of colour in the cup. The infused leaf is a bright, coppery, penny colour. Like fine wine, Second Flush Darjeeling can benefit from age.
Sloane Tea is pleased to be able to offer an award-winning Darjeeling 2nd Flush from the majestic Jungpana estate in the one and only Darjeeling. This is a Sloane Tea exclusive to which we have exclusive distribution rights.
