We appreciate your patience and are working hard to get your orders shipped!

We offer "Standard Shipping" where the carrier will leave your parcel in a safe spot if you're not home to accept the order upon delivery/shortly after delivery. We recommend using key words in your delivery address on the second address line, like "side door" or "front porch" if you have specific delivery instructions for the carrier. They will do their best to follow those instructions and safe drop your package. Packages may be left at a community mailbox, parcel locker, or with the concierge/building superintendent/security desk based on your residence type.

We also offer "Signature Required" where your parcel will only be delivered with a signature upon delivery. This is the ideal option if your order is of higher value or if you have had delivery issues to your residence previously. Please note, anyone can sign for a signature required parcel. Always check with family members, roommates, coworkers, building superintendents, and concierges if they may have signed for your package.

***If you have difficulty with deliveries to your primary residence, we do recommend considering having them delivered to your family home, workplace, or a friends' residence that is proven to be safe should you have concerns about delivery theft from common areas in/around your residence.

Please be advised, due to the pending Canada Post strike, we are unable to ship to Canadian addresses containing PO boxes at this time.

Generally, it can take up to 48 hours (does not include weekends) for tracking information to populate. However, for some orders that are shipping across the border or to more distant provinces from Ontario, tracking information may not begin to populate until your order reaches its destination province or state. If you do not receive an email with tracking information, please reach out to us!

If your order is returned to our warehouse because you made an error with your shipping address which resulted in the carrier being unable to deliver your order, (i.e. missing apartment/unit number, no buzzer code) your shipment will be subject to a re-stocking fee of $6 for the first item and $4 per each additional item. You will also be responsible for covering the shipping cost associated with it being returned to our warehouse.

We strongly encourage you to always double check each line of your shipping address before placing your order, especially if your order is being shipped as a gift to another recipient.

Sloane Tea is required to collect sales tax. Sales tax only applies to our teaware, accessories, gift boxes, and favours. Our selection of tea and Specialty Sugars are treated as food items and not taxed.

We offer singles of our individually wrapped Sachet Envelopes in our most popular flavours for sampling. Each envelope indicates steeping time and temperature recommendations along with flavour notes and ingredients. We are working to make sample sizes available for all of our loose leaf tea options. Check back soon for more details.

Once we receive your order, we start preparing it as soon as possible! It typically takes 2-5 business days to process (pick & pack) most orders if all products are available. Since we blend all of our teas in small batches, we are constantly blending fresh tea! As a result, your order can take 1-2 weeks to fulfill if you selected a product that requires us to blend a fresh batch of tea. We will indicate if this is the case once you select a flavour on the product page. Once your order has shipped, you will receive tracking information for you to follow along on it's status. If you do not receive an email with tracking information, please reach out to us. For more detailed tracking info, please reach out directly to the carrier. During peak holiday periods, your order may take longer than usual to ship.

Sloane Fine Tea Merchants accepts returns for up to 14 days from the day the order was delivered if it is unopened. As tea is a food product, we unfortunately do not accept returns on opened products. You are responsible for shipping the product back to us and the associated costs to do so. You will receive a refund once we receive the returned product.

If you have a product you wish to return, you must contact us beforehand at shop@sloanetea.com or 1-888-756-2630. We will approve of your return and walk you through the return process.

All E-Gift Card sales are final.

Once you place your order, unfortunately we are unable to cancel it or make any changes. If you make an error relating to your delivery address, we encourage you to reach out directly to the courier to make any corrections. If you make an error in selecting a product or flavour, we ask that you contact us once you receive your order to begin the return process for your unopened items. Please ensure you always review your billing/delivery address, and products/flavours before placing your order.

Due to carrier delays and an increase in orders, we cannot guarantee delivery times. We are working hard to get your order to you as quickly as possible. Absolutely! You can add a 400 character personalized message when reviewing your order in your cart. Look for the Message to Recipient text field in the bottom left corner of the page. Your personalized message will appear on the packing slip that arrives with your order. Our packing slips do not show any costs for those who are sending a gift.
